"Deep in a twisting forest, where roots cover the ground and flowers grow stubbornly in between, night fell. Nothing could be seen by the creature who visited the forest, but the forest always saw its visitors.
A new visitor walked through the trees with ease, holding a small pendant above her which shined a bright, radiant light. The forest stirred into life at the sight and hid among deeper darkness, away from the light of the pendant but still watching.
The pendant was snuffed out and the forest was on the hunt, however, as it crept towards the visitor it suddenly stopped. The click of flint sparked the darkness like a star in the sky.
As the firelight grew, the forest circled the ring of darkness in a maddened fervor. Within the light was nothing but a blessing. Guided by sprites of pure radiance, the Paladin went on with full confidence that she could never be hunted, not even within the shadowed grounds of the darkest forest. "
